Hi, my name is Michael. I am a year 1 student at UBC. This is my third year studying in Canada. I came to Canada alone and attended Bodwell High School 2 years ago.
I really enjoy studying in Canada as teachers here are thoughtful and patient. They are willing to spend time during and after school to assist you when you are struggling in your courses to ensure your academic success.
Not only that, this school has also given me the chance to meet new friends from all over the world. This means there is an increased chance for me to meet people who shares the same interests as me. I believe it is nice to have people like that as it is less likely to feel uncomfortable moving to an unfamiliar place. Hanging out with them have helped me quickly adapt to the new environment.
