When I just finished my HKCEE exams, I can still remember that was the longest vacation I have ever had during my study life. As I didn’t put sufficient efforts studying, unfortunately my HKCEE results weren’t good enough for me to further my studies in Hong Kong. My family wanted me to further my studies overseas instead of wasting time in Hong Kong; therefore my sister had to take me to various education agents for information. This is when we met Mr. Joshua Tang. When Joshua looked at my HKCEE results (which is absolutely horrible), he advised me that I can still enter university in Australia if I studied hard. Upon Joshua’s recommendations, we finally decided to choose the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
When I first started my studies in UTS, I felt that Sydney is a boring city to live in. However I reminded myself that this is a great opportunity to change my study habits so that I could graduate from university in a few years’ time and UTS gave me a good chance to achieve this objective.
At UTS, the academic staffs are friendly and approachable and students are encouraged to discuss any difficulties with them (even talking about soccer). I have had many opportunities to build up my confidence through different types of assessments. For example, I made many new friends every time when I was doing the group assignments. Most of my classmates came from different countries around the world. Hence, I learnt how to work with the people with different culture.
I recently completed my studies at UTS. During my study years at UTS, also gained many valuable experiences apart from the knowledge in the textbooks. I don’t know if I will have a chance to live in Sydney again, but I am sure the days that I spent in Sydney will be the best moments that I have ever had in my entire life. These moments include the time and efforts I spent in my exams and assignments; all the friends that I have met there as well as the beautiful scenery in Sydney etc.
I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to Joshua Tang of AAC. Not only have you helped me a lot when I was applying for UTS, but you also kept caring about my study life throughout the years. This gave me a lot of confidence when I was living alone in Australia.
