【學生及家長分享】Stanley WONG

Kurnai College

High School Year 10

My name is Stanley and I’ve been living in Australia almost one year. And I want to share my study life with all of you. Studying in Australia is quite fun and different for me, because it is much more different from Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, I usually have one classroom and teacher will come in our classroom and teach us knowledge. But in Australia we have to move around different classroom to learn our subject, which is really different for me. Also, they like do group activities such as in science class. Teacher would like about four of the classmates together as a group and do some activity or work. During the activity, I can easy to learn the knowledge and some new vocabulary. Classmates are really kind to me, when I don’t understand about some of the knowledge, they glad to teach me and help me to understand.

I really hate Maths, it always make me confused how to calculate it. Teacher will always help me out step by step if I get stuck with some questions. After few months, I get more confidence to do Maths. Asking is a really good habit, teachers are happy to answer the question that students who don’t understand. Studying in a brand new place and with different country people would be take a little bit of time to getting used to it, Basically homestay can help your school life too! They would like to help me for the homework if I’m not understand or stuck about it. The first day I’m studying at school, I’m a bit nervous. My homestay took me to the school and introduce some of the teachers to me, at that moment I think it will be easy to getting know the school.

This is all my study life in Australia, is been a year now and I’m really enjoy studying here and share with all of you!
