The differences that I found between Hong Kong and Adelaide are people, weather and shop opening hours. Aussies are friendly. Once, I walked around the neighbourhood, they smile and say hi to you even you don’t know each other. I will be pretty weird to say hi to strangers in Hong Kong. The weather in Adelaide is pretty similar to Hong Kong. But the difference is that summer in Adelaide is in December which Hong Kong is in July. Also, you can feel four seasons in one day. What I mean is that when it starts to change seasons, night and day will be cold and afternoon will be hot. Shops in Adelaide closes at 5-5:30 pm. Which compare to shops in Hong Kong, Adelaide shop close way earlier. But on Thursday is late night shopping, so shops opens until 9 or 10. Also in Adelaide, basically every houses has a car, so you often see people on the streets.
Woodcroft College is ELC to year 12 private school. I started at year 9 term 4 till year 12. And I had a wonderfull study life as an international student in Woodcroft College. I met a lot of local and international friends and help me through my school life which I’m grateful for. College have subjects and facilities that Hong Kong schools didn’t have. For example child studies have robot babies, languages and we can borrow camera for photography. Which make school more fun. Teachers are usually patient to answer your questions and we can use school email to ask questions as well.
