After the graduation from my secondary school, my result could only get me into the associate degree. The associate degree, however, could not guarantee me a place to the university degree and I had to have class with almost a hundred students at the same time. During that time, I could not get enough help and advice from my teacher so I decided to study abroad after a year.
I studied the foundation programme, especially for international students, in the University of Leicester, UK. The teachers and staff are really friendly to help us with any problems, not only about schoolworks but also our daily lives. Also, I have the chances to make new friends from all over the world so it really creates a lovely and warm environment for me to learn. I can enjoy a pleasurable study life during my stay in Leicester that I could never have in HK.
Most importantly, the foundation programme guarantees all students a place in the university with the degree we chose, provided that our marks reach certain levels. Given that the teachers are very helpful, we really do not have other worries and can reach a satisfactory result with no stress. I also have to thank Joshua Tang from AAC for giving me so much advice and suggestion for my study.
