Having been studying in the UK for almost two years, I found it absolutely substantial and worthy to get out of my hometown and to study under such a comprehensive education system.
Leaving your family and friends to study aboard may concern you at the beginning but that would be how your new adventure starts. Still fresh in my mind that I was really anxious at the time when I first got to this place as everybody else would be, but later on I realized that everyone in the school were friendly and helpful, and really comfortable to get along with so I met a lot of new friends from every side of the world. Teachers and staff here were willing to offer help for any issues from academic to daily difficulties.
The things I like here most were the decent and comprehensive facilities provided in the school and the fine weather in my city. I can have easy access to libraries, study rooms, gyms, canteens and even leisure areas such as student bars and sports centers to relax myself after lectures. The weather and the city here were nice as it won’t be that stuffy and crowded compared to Hong Kong which had provided me a decent and comfortable learning environment.
Over the two years of experiencing in the UK, I learnt to manage myself on daily life issues and also to arrange my study and leisure time. I had a great experience of visiting different cities with my friends during holidays and it was really fun. Studying overseas would not only broaden your horizon, it could turn your life to a new page which you could never be able to experience in your own country.
Thanks for AAC to offer different kinds of advises and to provide brief information of different schools at the time when I was struggling about studying aboard and I have to give a special thanks to Joshua Tang, who was really committed and helpful in supporting me before and during the time I was studying in the UK. His patient and caring had given me lots of motivation and supports. Thank you very much Joshua!
