Foundations Year
Bachelor of Psychological Sciences

Hi everyone my name is Timothy and I would like to share my experience about studying the foundation year. I applied the International Education Services [IES], which is the bridging program under the University of Queensland through AAC. I started the course in January last year and is now ready to enter the university to study psychological science.

To be honest, I am now more relieve and understandable for my future path during university after finishing the course in IES. Since the lesson style, assignments structures, and even the environment the University of Queensland were shown in details throughout the year.

Some people may feel you are trying to run away from the public exams after knowing you have decided to take the foundation year. I have to admit that it may be partially true. However, from my past experiences studying in UK, the foundation year not only gain as much as the preparation of the public exam, it also provide a significant benefit for students to adapt the huge change of the learning style in college from high school.

So for those who are hesitating between the public exam and foundation year, I would highly recommend you to take the second one. But one thing to remind is that although the foundation year seems to be less tense, you still have to put the equal amount of effort as in high school. Or else you will return to your hometown with nothing.

At last, please allow me to present my gratitude to my agent, Joshua Tang. Thank you for suggesting me an easier path towards the university and the supports throughout the year.
