Hi, there! I’m Vanessa. I’ve been in Brisbane, Australia for more than one year as a student. And I just want to share my experience with all of you about my wonderful school life here in Brisbane.
The reason why I chose to further my study abroad is that I wish to explore my interests and gain life experience. After I finished secondary five in Hong Kong, I went to Brisbane to do a year of foundation program as university preparation in Griffith College.
Doing the foundation course at Griffith College makes me realize school life can be stress-free and fun! At the beginning, I thought learning through English as a second language could be daunting, but it turned out to be easier than I imagined. I was able to pick up my studies quick with teachers’ guidance and my own effort. I also have plenty of spare time to join extra-curricular activities held by the school and made new best friends from diverse cultures.
I’m so glad to see my improvements over the year, not just in my grades and English skills, but also in the ability to solve daily life challenges. Now I’m doing Bachelor of laws at Griffith University to pursue my dream of being a lawyer. I know I’ve made the best decision to study abroad in Brisbane, because I’ve never been more passionate about chasing my goals and have a purpose in life.
