Trinity College Foundation Studies, the University of Melbourne

Foundation Studies
Bachelor of Commerce/Arts (Criminology)

From Foundation to University in Melbourne, I enjoyed every bit of the journey and learnt to be a strong independent person.

At Trinity College Foundation Studies, I experienced freedom and a caring environment yet still amongst a very academic atmosphere. All the academic staff were friendly, kind and always willing to offer help.

It was a special and valuable experience to study amongst students from all over the world in a multicultural atmosphere. I had the chance to meet students from many other countries and to learn and experience from their different cultures.

Studying Drama at Trinity was a grand experience, I learnt many things from these valuable lessons, such as how to perform in front of an audience, how to control my emotions, to build confidence by learning to express myself and other skills such as body language, team building and communication skills.

Living in Melbourne was a full growth exposure for myself, as study abroad is not only for academic reasons, you also learn to become a confident independent person living overseas as a student. You need to take care of yourself on a daily basis e.g. laundry, shopping, cooking, paying rent and home maintenance, things I have always took it for granted in Hong Kong.

From the moment I first walked out of Melbourne’s airport, I could sense a very relaxing and stress-free lifestyle. Because of the living pace, the fresh air, the spacious, clean and safe environment and the friendly Australians, I thoroughly enjoyed living in Melbourne.

Since returning to Hong Kong, I am now working as a Police Inspector in the Hong Kong Police Force, where I can put to use many of the skills I learnt, such as to get the job done, problem solving skills, independence and being a good team player.

My thanks go to my Education Consultant Denise Chu of AAC, who with her friendly professionalism and encouragement planned all my entrance requirements for my studies in Australia, taking the burden of stress and worry from my family’s shoulders.
